By popular demand we are revisiting this walk (with variations) so as to ensure it is easy to get to by avoiding all the current road works on the M1. START POINT: The Wheel Inn 50 Main Street Ticknall DE73 7JZ Phone: 01332 864488. TIME: 10.00am assemble for tea/coffee. DIRECTIONS: Ticknall is on the A514 midway between Derby, Melbourne and Ashby.
WALK: The walk will be from the pub around Calke Abbey and its parkland on easy going pathways and just over 4 miles in length. Lunch will be back at The Wheel. |
